Following the recent meeting of the GWSSA Committee we have decided to make the following changes:

Membership of GWSSA is now FREE!!!

If you have any existing standing order or direct debits, please cancel these so that you will not continue being charged.

GWSSA Mailing List

The majority of the contact emails on our mailing list are now defunct due to the changeove from NHSnet.

In view of this and the recent changes to GDPR, we have decided we will discontinue the use of the mailing list moving forward.

We will continue to advertise via departmental secretary distribution, our facebook group, and shortly our new Twitter feed.

GWSSA are delighted to welcome the following to the committee:

PRESIDENT – Dr. Jane Duffty, Consultant Anaesthetist (University Hospital Hairmyres).

GLASGOW ANAESTHETIC RESEARCH CLUB – Drs. Ben Shelley, and Phil McCall, Consultant Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia and Intensive Care (Golden Jubilee National Hospital).

SAS REPRESENTATIVE – Dr. Pritam Mohanty, Specialty Doctor (University Hospital Ayr).

TRAINEE REPRESENTATIVE – Dr Holly Andrews.

We would like to extend our warmest thanks to the outgoing members of the committee: Dr. Craig Urquhart (Immediate past president), Dr. Robert Docking (GARC), and Dr. Sarah Meredith (Trainee representative) for all their hard work supporting Glasgow & West of Scotland society for the past year and beyond.
