Celebrating 15 Years of Medics Against Violence

“The Journey” is a two day event celebrating 15 years of Medics Against Violence (MAV) and 10 years of Navigator, on 21st/22nd January at the Royal College of Physicians, Glasgow. This event will feature:

  • Talks and interactive workshops led by the MAV team to learn more about Scotland’s and our own innovative journey in violence prevention.
  • Hear from experts about working with wicked problems programme development, evolution, challenges, evaluation and partnership working.
  • Keynote speakers – Father Greg Boyle and the Homeboys will talk about one of the world’s most forward thinking violence prevention programmes.

Looking ahead 2024 – 2025

GWSSA has a number of events scheduled for the 2024-2025 calendar including:

  • GARC (Dec ’24).

Improve Your Presentation Skills – Charity Lecture

Dr Michael Murray will be hosting an online lecture with hints and tips on how to improve your presentation skills. The session should last approximately 60 minutes, with all attendees being provided with a 15-page booklet of tips to make presentations more engaging.

Cost: £25.00 (All proceeds are being donated to Motor Neurone Disease Scotland)
